Desired Partnerships in the Whitsundays

About The Whitsundays

Only a two-hour flight from Sydney and three hours from Melbourne, Hamilton Island is located within the Whitsunday Islands off the north east coast of Queensland and is Boating Partnerships' home port in the region. Surrounded by 74 Islands with hundreds of anchorages in secluded bays, there's always a beautiful spot to relax and recuperate. Together with the facilities on Hamilton Island, close vicinity to the Great Barrier Reef, over ten restaurants and plenty of activities for the kids, this is the ultimate holiday destination.

Additional services are available from Hamilton Island including food delivery; meat from the mainland butcher, groceries from a selection of supermarkets and fresh seafood caught locally can all be delivered and packed away on board prior to your arrival. Other services include fishing guides and gear hire and skippering services to take you and your guests out to the Great Barrier Reef and around the islands.

Experience

The beautiful Whitsunday Islands lie within The Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven great wonders of the world. This is tropical paradise at its most pure and enjoyable. You can go for a dive or snorkel and explore the bright colours of marine life including coral, tropical fish, molluscs and other flora and fauna. While you're in the Whitsunday Islands, an almost mandatory trip to Whitehaven Beach will be one of your most memorable. Walk along the soft, white sands of Whitehaven Beach, enjoy a champagne picnic at Hill Inlet on the beach's northern side and finish off the day with a swim in the warm, blue water.

Indulge

Hamilton Island is at the centre of the region's dining culture with some of the best food experiences in the world in one of the world's most stunning locations. Enjoy a sunset cocktail and tapas at One Tree Hill Lookout, fresh oysters at waterfront restaurant Bommies or enjoy a romantic dinner at the exclusive Beach Club Restaurant. A number of more casual dining options make it easy to grab a meal on the island as you're exploring it in a rented golf buggy or by foot. Luxury resort qualia also offers seasonal degustation menus for resort guests and visitors alike.

Discover

Quiet, undiscovered coves are one of the Whitsunday Islands rewards for those exploring the waterways by boat. Moor your vessel in one (or all) of these coves for an afternoon or a day and explore the surrounding waters. Snorkel along the western side of Hayman Island in Blue Pearl Bay and walk across its coral scatted beaches before travelling just 45 minutes north east to one of the most spectacular locations of the Great Barrier Reef, Bait and Hook Reef, where the famous Stepping Stones are located.
