BOATING PARTNERSHIPS FEBRUARY E-MAGAZINE

INDEX

Note from Managing Director Tom Van Vliet

2019 has seen Boating Partnerships grow in numbers, both in boats and staff. As we continue to order and deliver brand new luxury Riviera Motor Yachts across the east coast of Australia, we are also growing our dedicated team of staff with a direction to provide more exclusive owner benefits and services. Our number one focus is our current owners and clients.

My aim is always to embrace Australian built luxury motor yachts and limit the amount of owner's, allowing sufficient usage and the ultimate boating experience. This year I particularly focused on ensuring all owners received their ideal reservations and catered for the specific needs of each owner in the hope of creating a holiday atmosphere every time you hop on board.

I’m very much looking forward to what 2020 will bring as we make plans for new boats to join us in different locations, allowing us to further explore the magnificent Australian waterways. We have big things planned for 2020 and can’t wait to share them with you.

If it's our seasons favorite anchorage spots, beautiful waterway ideas, romantic getaways and stew and skipper packages, you will receive only the best advice. To start off the new year we will be offering a new tailored crew package, which includes a private chef, stew and captain. The package will be tailored specifically to suit the needs of your event, keeping in mind particulars such as the amount of guests you have onboard to ensure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Lifejackets - Don’t forget!

Lifejackets are the most important piece of safety equipment.

What are the requirements for wearing a lifejacket on our tender boats while in enclosed waters ? Here’s a friendly reminder!

therightequipmentforyou.jpg
  • A levle 100 plus

  • A level 50 or greater lifejacket is required when alone or operating between Sunset and Sunrise in a vessel under 4.8 meters.

  • For children under 12 years of age, a level 50 or greater lifejacket must be worn at all times when in a vessel under 4.8 meters or when in an open area of a vessel under 8 meters in length.

  • For our boats fitted with PWC (jetski’s) a level 50 or greater life jacket must be worn at all times. This is also the case for anyone being towed on a waterski, wakeboard or other towing activity.

  • Most Importantly however, whenever the skipper of any vessel instructs you too if he deems needed! Remember you’re the skipper, you’re responsible.

IMPORTANT:

On all boats less than 4.8m… (Ie. tender/kayaks)

Level 50 or greater lifejackets at all times when:

  • Boating between sunset and sunrise

  • Boating on alpine waters

  • Boating alone ( without another person 12 years of age or more on the same vessel.)

Be Inspired By Our Clients

Angie and Richards Weekend Afloat

Angie and Richard are guilty for their romantic getaway trips to Bantry Bay! Since 2017 they have fallen in love with the serenity, the peacefulness and the sound of the beautiful nature. Docking on the public moorings, they enjoy a glass of wine and fine seafood put together in their well equipped Iluka kitchen.  Bantry bay is full of hundreds of nooks and crannies that they explore using their tender. Sometimes they will choose to escape past the heads to look back at the beautiful coastline of Sydney.

Boating Partnerships training has enabled them to feel capable to drive their sport yacht wherever they wish to go. Sometimes they do opt to use a skipper when entertaining friends and family, allowing them greater time to sit back and relax with their choice of company. Every experience they have had escaping on Iluka is a memorable one and cruising through and enjoying the tranquillity of the water has become a lifestyle for them.

Upgrading from a Seafarer Victory 6.0m half cabin they are now able to sleep comfortably overnight with more than enough space for entertainment and relaxation. They are more than satisfied with the size and functionality of the 4800 sport yacht, feeling that it suits perfectly with the opportunities of Sydney Harbour.
