We are excited to announce that our Riviera 5400 Platinum Sport yacht is half way through the build process with the hull and deck recently joined. This month we talk to one of the owners of this Riviera as he shares his experience underlining the benefits of being an owner right from the beginning. In Riviera news, the world premiere of the 50 Sports Motor Yacht has just been released, with spacious accommodation and an entertainment area that grants you freedom like no other.

Riviera 50 Sports Motor Yacht – World Premiere
Australia’s largest luxury motor yacht manufacturer Riviera last week on Friday evening (September 4) hosted a spectacular online launch for the world premiere of its new 50 Sports Motor Yacht.
The Riviera 50 Sports Motor Yacht is the latest addition to Riviera’s growing Sports Motor Yacht collection following the popular 64 Sports Motor Yacht premiere in June this year.
For the wellbeing of guests, dealer representatives and staff, Riviera unveiled online the magnificent new 50 SMY to a worldwide audience, live from its Gold Coast production facility.
Hosted by Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst, the live launch will be among the many highlights of the company’s 40 years of evolution in 2020 that have driven the superior design and engineering refinements of today’s Riviera’s motor yachts.
The 50 SMY takes her cues from her highly acclaimed and popular sisterships the 72, 68 and 64 Sports Motor Yachts which are now cruising the waters of the world. The 50 is a spacious motor yacht with extensive water sports capabilities and designed for extended coastal passages or weekend escapes that can easily serve as a luxurious family, entertainer or adventure yacht.

Windy is an app known for weather forecasts with high technology visualisation. An app that allows you to feel prepared in any circumstance. It is best used for keeping up with weather warnings with its fast, intuitive and detailed structure. Simply move the pin to get your current and future wind forecast.
Safe Anchor
Safe Anchor gives you piece of mind once you’re anchored. If the boat's anchor leaves the border an alarm on your phone will go off, prompting you to check your anchorage. Best tip on anchoring " If in doubt, put more chain out"
BOM
When planning your perfect trip out on the water BOM is is a great app to use. Localised hourly and 7 day forecasts, radar and warnings wherever you are! More reliable than the weather app, straight from Australian’s official weather source, the Bureau Of Meteorology.
TIDESAU+
TIDESAU+ is an excellent and comprehensive app that gathers everything you need to know onto the one platform. Understanding the current tide conditions with the simple and easy to use format provided, will allow you to cruise comfortably.
Navionics
Navionics is an essential app to everyday boating. From planning your route to tracking your journey, it’s an app you will always rely on. With constant updates and detailed information this is our number one app we recommend every skipper should have.
Crew Services
There are many things to do when you’re planning your time out on the water. Most of our concierge services are designed to make your boating experience more pleasurable. Crew services can be an integral part of making your day on the water completely hassle free. Sit back and relax on your Riviera and let our friendly stewardesses spoil you and your guests. No cleaning and distractions, just some quality time with your friends and family.

Staff Profile - Tom Van Vliet
My lifestyle has always revolved around boating. It's where my passion and devotion lies. At a very young age I landed my first job in the marine industry at the Spit Bridge in Sydney. This particular job helped launch my transition into Sydney Boat Share as a boat care professional. I continued to work around the boating lifestyle, maintaining private vessels and skippering.
Evolving the knowledge I gained from these experiences my enthusiasm expanded when I was given the opportunity to work with Riviera Syndication maintaining their vessels, who at the time had three 10 owner vessels based at Rushcutters Bay. This is where my passion for syndication flourished. As a young man I took this experience and devoted my career to defining and developing this lifestyle. I built a strong relationship with the Riviera factory that led to the birth of Boating Partnerships.
Over the last 6 years I have managed to create a team of professionals that support and enable me to provide the 5-star star service we offer. This year has shown huge growth in the business as well as becoming a father to my beautiful son Benjamin.
Even though Boating Partnerships has been operating for over 6 years now I feel that this is just the beginning. I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with our clients and staff while maintaining the highest level of service. We have exciting new opportunities arising including further development of the Partnership Platform that we look forward to sharing with you.
