BOATING PARTNERSHIPS MARCH E-MAGAZINE

INDEX

Note from Managing Director Tom van Vliet

The commencement of 2020 was a challenging one for all Australians, with a devastating bushfire season followed by giant hail thunderstorms and damaging winds - mother nature sure gave us a tough start to the new decade. I would like to officially thank our dedicated staff who coordinated with these conditions, and continued to make it their priority to keep your precious boats at a pristine standard. Fortunately, there has now been a dramatic reduction in severe weather conditions and our beautiful waterways have returned to normal.

As the days clear, we all become very grateful for the beauty of our now purified waterways. We are excited to announce the order of our 4800 series II Platinum Sport Motor Yacht, which will be based at Trinity Point Marina, Lake Macquarie. I would also like to announce that the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show is fast-approaching. This event will be held from the 21st - 24th May, 9am - 5pm Daily. With over 300+ exhibitors and 600+ watercraft on display.

Here at Boating Partnerships, we are constantly looking for ways to improve, in order to benefit your needs.

Lauren Quayle-Blake

Marketing & Concierge Manager

My name is Lauren and I’ve recently been given the title of Concierge Manager for Boating Partnerships. In this role I will be working closely with all our owners and prospects to ultimately create the most relaxing way to own a boat.

I have been working for Tom since 2018 so I already have a great deal of knowledge about Boating Partnerships. I quickly became very passionate towards syndication and Tom’s 24 hour services and management he and his team offer. I knew It was something I wanted to become a part of as I found passion in owner experiences. In the last year I have worked in marketing, accounting and stew work and now my priority lies closely with the owners. My role will consist of calendar planning, implementing strategies that will support your feedback and concierge services (i.e. catering, crew services and provisioning)

Feel free to contact me at any time if I can be of any assistance.

Owner Experiences

Below you will hear from Tony, a 25% part owner in an east coast Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht that relocates between Sydney, Gold Coast and Hamilton Island.

“I have enjoyed the experience of relocating the boat and we have visited new ports along the way to refuel and stay overnight. This has been a useful way to gain more general boating knowledge through having a competent trainer sitting beside me whilst navigating our way into new harbours and ports.

The greatest benefit I have found in relocating the boat is when travelling at night and using our radar to scan for other vessels at sea.

I would recommend the relocating experience to other owners as I have become more proficient at weather and sea forecasting as this becomes critical in planning a comfortable journey.

I believe that anyone can take part in the relocation journey and Boating Partnerships have provided highly experienced skippers to train boat owners like me to become more confident in the open ocean.

I have always enjoyed the delivery process and I intend to do other deliveries in the future.”

Testimonial

“After contemplating for many years to either purchase a boat or engage in a boating partnership, my wife encouraged me to take the plunge. The team at Boating Partnerships had stayed in contact with me knowing it was something I was keen on doing and their knowledge and expertise was the final clincher that gave me the confidence to proceed. It has by far, been the best format of owning a boat.”

“The quality of boat is superb and the location and facilities are second to none. It has been the best thing I have done as it has provided hours of entertainment and a unique environment to enjoy our spectacular harbour. We have also been able to explore the waterways of Pittwater and spend quality time with family and friends, as well as making new friends through the boating partnership. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys boating and is considering moving forward with a boating partnership. You will not regret it.”
